Pac-Man on Friday: Google, You’re Evil
I’m sure every teacher working in a computer lab lost their minds when they discovered the Google logo was a playable Pac-Man game. I admitted it was genius, but poorly timed. I encouraged the students to get their five minutes of play and then start to do their research.
Google certainly received some nice press for this stunt, and are we going to see a Google tribute to every game from Donkey Kong to Tron? This is the first time I believe Google made their logo interactive, and I’m guessing this is only the beginning after the response. I hope Google doesn’t let this success get out of hand–we’ve seen where the Yahoo search page has taken it.
On another note, I had to fix my own personal fix and managed to get to second grape and 50,000 points (see screenshot below). There was a day that Pac-Man ruled my world as a middle school kid. I could brag about how good I was, but I won’t here. You can download the Google Pac-man for yourself if you didn’t get a chance to play.
