I’m often impressed by the ease and simplicity of Quizlet, a free Web 2.0 tool for managing vocabulary online.  I’ve created a vocabulary list of English vocabulary words (in an hour) on Quizlet focusing on the CAHSEE (California Exit Exam).  Students can practice these words on their own anytime.

If you are a teacher who emphasizes vocabulary building, Quizlet is the best of the flash card generators available online.  I love how you upload a list of vocabulary words and select from a number of definitions (dictionary and user-generated) best for your students’ level.  Students can also create their own vocabulary lists and study for their own tests.

It’s especially user-friendly and if you buy the Pro account, you can even add images to your vocabulary words.  It is the one flashcard building web app that accomplishes everything I’m looking for and more.
