Baseball Prayer

Our Great Commish, give us the strength to remain within seven games the All-Star break, and if not, fill our team with prospects abundant, so we might charge upon the golden pennant with the spirit of a team reborn. And if you grant us prosperity on the day of drafting, rich hitters and dominant pitchers, keep them healthy and productive, so they might quietly surprise their foes. And bring us into the promised land (the playoffs!) and let us suffer no longer the fate of late season collapses or pathetic .210 hitting. Protect us from slumps, bad weather, poor trades, unlucky dice, and prospect-hungry owners. For thine is the kingdom, the glory, our treasure.
